Solution The Moto G3 disassembly procedure was revised and there is some tooling and process information added see the details below: 1) Before start the disassembly process, verify if the phone is TURNED OFF.

2) Materials a) Do not use metallic tweezers to remove the display flex from the connector. b) Do not use metallic tools to remove the remaining adhesive from display or bucket.

c)

Uses the black stick to open the display flex connector. If needed, use a non metallic tweezers to remove the flex. d) Uses the black stick or non metallic tooling to remove the remaining adhesive from the display or from the bucket.

3) Manual Process (without disassembly fixture) After turning off and heating the phone on machine 4-00-X2-10000(220V) or using hot air gun, insert the spudger following the instructions below, according to the phone side and its maximum insertion allowed: Note: The 4-00-X2-10000(220V) should not be pre heated otherwise there will be a patch marks on display.

When using Hot air gun make sure the temperature should not increase more than 100° C, air flow should be low and make sure do on hold air gun at one position for too long otherwise display will burn.

MASC Action: Disassembly When receiving a Moto G3 unit that requires a display disassembling as regular process: 1. In case of the disassembling procedure in use by the MASC is the automatic (that uses the fixture – 4-00-Y2-10000) follow the instructions as presented in the document Moto G (3rd Gen)_Level 2-Service and Repair Manual 2.

In case of the MASC uses the spudger and hot air to disassembly the display, follow the instructions presented in this document.

To assemble the Display engineer can use approved double side tape roll which is supply to all MASC. Cut the tap as per mention size in the below pic After display fixed make sure pre heat the display again for 4 to 5 mins and then press firmly to seal all the edges
