The most challenging part of extended essay is questioning or critical analysis of ones own ndings and the selected sources for the argumentative analysis. Synthesizing the information from a variety of sources. Mastery of research skills  and time management are the other challenging aspects .

Extended Essay Vs Other Essays Extended Essay is a research based on the focused inquiry, guided by the research question. The essay as a whole is based on the in depth research in the area of interest. Synthesizing, analyzing and building the argumentative evaluation is the challenging part of extended essay which involves critical thinking and personal initiative. Re ection at different stages of development is one of the noticeable features of the extended essay.

First activity How do you think the extended essay will be different from essays you may have written before? I think it will be a more rigorous experience due to the fact that the amount of words is bigger than I am used to, in addition to that I will have he chance to investigate on a topic much more in depth than I used for a common essay in school. Thus, the amount of sources required will be high and they will be evaluated with intention of guaranteeing their reliability.  What do you think the most challenging aspect of the extended essay will be? • Organizing the essay

World studies was rst proposed by the United World College of Mahindra in 2001 and was eventually set up as an extended essay pilot option in 2005. The development of the world studies extended essay pilot has been underpinned by extensive academic research and development.

I think the most dif cult part of doing an extended essay, will be formulating a research question for the topic you choose. The whole process will take a long time and effort.
