Hilton Worldwide

1 Introduction Hilton Worldwide operates two versions of Central Reservations System (CRS): Hilton CRS (HCRS) and Promus CRS (PCRS). While brands previously owned by Hilton are managed in HCRS, the old Promus brands reside in PCRS. The following brands are built in and distributed through PCRS: -

Hampton Inn Embassy Suites Homewood Home 2 Doubletree (US Domestic only).

Both HCRS and PCRS are very similar in function; however, there are some differences in supported functionality and default data elements. To enable Opera to seamlessly communicate with PCRS, the existing Opera shell that was initially created for HCRS needs to be modified to account for these differences between HCRS and PCRS. The purpose of this document is to describe the changes required to the configuration of the Hilton Opera shell.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION It is critical that these changes are completed prior to entering any reservations into Opera or completing the GNR download task of the Opera conversions. Failure to complete the configuration changes described in this document will result in reservations failing to download to Opera or reservations being entered into Opera with incorrect, default data.

Rate Codes

There are two key differences in the Special Rate Plan (SRP) handling in PCRS which need to be accounted for when building rate codes in Opera. 1. SRP codes are built with three characters as PCRS does not allow any SRP codes exceeding this number. 2. PCRS allows the use of the same SRP code for multiple, concurrently valid SRP’s as long as the types of these SRP’s are different. Available SRP types are listed below. a. L – Local b. S – System c. C – Convention To accommodate the PCRS specific SRP handling, building Opera rate codes purely with the SRP codes as displayed in OnQ R&I is not sufficient. The SRP code needs to be appended with the brand of the hotel and the type of the SRP. The rate codes need to be configured as follows: -

SRP Type (1st character) Brand (2nd and 3rd characters) SRP Code (4th, 5th and 6th characters)

For example, the rate code for an SRP with local SRP type and a code of AAA at an Embassy Suites would like the one below: LESAAA (L-Local, ES-Embassy, AAA-SRP Code) The rate code for an SRP with system SRP type and a code of XYZ at a Hampton Inn would like the one below: SHHXYZ (S-System, HH-Hampton Inn, XYZ-SRP Code) IMPORTANT INFORMATION Value levels should not be configured with the type and brand code. Value level rate codes should be configured in Opera with just the 3-letter code only such as LV0, LV1, LV2, etc. 2.6

File Exports

All exports should have SFTP option activated and key verified (Daily Revenue, Daily Revenue Day/Regen, Checkout, and Checkout Day/Regen). The value for the element in the Checkout export should no longer be hardcoded to ‘1’ as it is in the current implementation of the © 2013 Hilton Worldwide Confidential & Proprietary Configure Opera for PCRS Hotels V1.5

2. Highlight the SYS21_CHKOUT/System 21 Checkout Extract and click the Edit button.
