1) Why „GreatM8”? I picked GreatM8 because I didn’t want to take all this seriously. Wanted something silly since I was actually pushed into doing this by my friends, but that’s a LONG story.
2) How did your adventure with animation begin? I picked up animation just as soon as Meet The Pyro came out and Valve announced that they were going to be releasing the Source Filmmaker at the end of the video. I was always fascinated with animation but for some reason, until SFM came out, I hadn’t ever thought about doing it. It wasn’t until then that I found out this is my passion.
3) Where do you get models and sounds for your animations?
Another interview, another guest. In this interview, I want to introduce GREATM8 - another animator who doesn’t have much to say about himself, but he has a lot to offer. Animations of course! His animations include the protagonists of such famous works as: My Hero Academia or Mavis from Hotel Transylvania.
I get my models from SFMLab and the Steam workshop, and when I’m lucky some very talented people come to me with their private models which I get really giddy about. Sounds I get from very cool people like MinteaVA who’s incredible. Hope to work with more people too!
4) Do you have your favourite character? If so, why?

I have a few favourite characters I suppose. The list seems to move around quite often, but Misty from Pokemon will always be my favourite, ever since I was 6 years old I had a huge crush on her. I also really like Mina Ashido from MHA, a lot of the MHA girls are really great to be fair. Aqua from Kingdom Hearts, Marina from Splatoon to name the big constant ones.
5) What programs do you use when creating the animation?
I use Source Filmmaker for animating and then some slight editing in Sony Vegas Pro 11.
6) How long does it take to create one animation? It depends on how long we’re talking. Short loops like 5-10 seconds usually take around half an hour to an hour to complete. Longer projects take about a day or more depending on the complexity, but it all definitely rides on how motivated I am. As an example, my 2 and a half minute animation „Her Queen” took 2 days to finish, but that happens rarely I tend to just start a bunch of animations at once and take forever because I have so many.
7) Any plans for the future related to animations? My entire future is animating. The animation is everything to me, it’ll be my future career, and It’s definitely going to be what I do for the rest of my life. There’s nothing quite like it, It’s kinda hard to explain. I can create whatever I want and that is everything.
8) Who or what inspired you to create animations?

inspired me overall. Their films are incredible, and they’re the reason I want to create my own animations and films. I never thought I’d make porn, but I wanted to make some extra cash to help my parents out because they’re not doing so hot. I mostly just want to work towards my future so I can create SFW animations.
9) Any advice for others who would like to create similar content for yours? Create what you want, and don’t listen to anyone who tells you to do things a certain way. Creating too much? Creating too little? Means nothing, just do you, create to your heart’s content. Have fun and you can’t lose.
10) Traditional question ... do you like CREAMPIE ;D?
Creampie is fine and dandy, who doesn’t
11) Do you have someone you would like to greet or thank for help or „inspiration”? Not particularly, I got to where I am on my own and I still have a LONG way to go but I’m loving every second of it. Constant strides towards improvement every day! The need to get better is what keeps me going and creating things.
