Repatriation of mortal remains Should you pass away in South Africa, a case manager at Europ Assistance SA will make all the arrangements to repatriate your mortal remains.

Repatriation is arranged when the deceased’s body is more than 100km from their place of residence, within South Africa and neighbouring countries e.g. Lesotho, Namibia, Mozambique etc, including international repatriations. All the arrangements to transport mortal remains as requested by the family are managed and special care is taken to consider particular customs and beliefs. The benefit includes assistance with the necessary documentation and co-ordination with the authorities to transport the deceased’s mortal remains back to the normal area of residence.
