What should I be doing? It’s time to plan your social marketing strategy! I know this guide is super meaty. Don’t let that intimidate you. If you’re ready to up your social media marketing game, this is your blueprint. Make this P.L.A.N. a part of your weekly & daily method of operation. Keep chopping at that same tree every day.
Ninja Tip: This guide operates on the principles of social, attraction, and curiosity marketing. When you are ready to go next level & automate some of this process, check out the Attraction Marketing Formula Guide at the end of this doc. Please do not share this PDF directly. I would love to help as many people as possible and I worked very hard to provide good value here, so please send your team to https://mistydorman.com/smartplan to access this free guide. This will ensure they have access to ALL of my resources and instructions. Can you imagine if your entire downline were implementing these strategies? Let’s talk about how to fill out the page
WEEKLY P.L.A.N. If you are one who likes to plan, this planning page is for you! If you prefer to wing it, read through this section of instructions anyway to understand the strategies and just do the Daily Work Routines checklist ;) Choose one day a week (I suggest Sunday evening but work with your schedule) to plan out the coming week. Print out this page & start working through it. Use the [] as check boxes & check them off as you accomplish them each item. POST IDEAS - Plan out 10-15 posts for the week. 14-21 if you’re in a hard push, such as a 90 day run. If you can create a general theme for the week, that’s even better, but not required. DO NOT OVER-POST or post back to back. Give each post time to gain some exposure before posting again. This is just a general suggestion of what types of posts to do. Find a balance that works well for you. Also, be flexible. If you post something that’s getting a really great response, wait to post again. You don’t want to be competing with yourself for views. Some rows are grayed out on the Weekly P.L.A.N. because you should feel free to just © Misty Dorman’s S.M.A.R.T. P.L.A.N. http://www.mistydorman.com

post these spontaneously as the moments arise. If you want to jot down a few ideas though in case you need inspiration later, go for it. Also, go ahead & mark on your Daily Checklist which days of the week you will post, so you don’t forget. I like to highlight the boxes. Empower/Inspire (3/week) - Share a cool quote or thought that inspires people, but make sure to include your own personal story if you can. It’s not enough just to share a quote. Find a way to make it personal or create an emotional response. You don’t need to mention your product or business. Entertain (3/week) - Find some joys in life or ways to be silly & show off your personality. Again, no need to mention your product or business. Personal/Lifestyle (3/week) - Showcase your life. What do you do? Give people a peek into your life & who you are. You can throw in some nonchalant indirect promotion here. For example, casually mention how blessed you are to be home with your kids or how great it is to be able to work when you want, so you can go hiking during the day or how you’re getting more done because you have more energy from that new product you’re using. There doesn’t need to be a call to action. The goal is just to show off how great your life is & create a little curiosity about it. Product (1-2/week) - Post about a product or post a testimonial/review/before & after. Do not mention the product name or show it in the picture. Talk about the benefits and how it helps rather than the product itself or a list of ingredients. Have a call to action to comment or contact you if they want more info. Business (1/week) - Same concept. Plug your awesome business without saying the company name. Have people contact you for some info if they’re looking for an opportunity. Live Video (1-5/week) - Yes, LIVE video. Hit that record button and teach people something. You don’t have to be an expert. If you’re doing personal development every day, you are one step ahead of most people. If you are trying to attract business minded people to join your team, make sure you are teaching things of value to entrepreneurs. If you are trying to attract customers, teach something related to your industry.
Ninja Tip: The goal is to attract people in by providing value and creating curiosity. If you have product links and names all over your FaceBook wall, pause right now & go clean it up. You want people to ASK you about your business, products, &/or services. If they see it all over your wall, they have no reason to start a conversation with you. © Misty Dorman’s S.M.A.R.T. RESET - These are a few tasks to check off during your weekly planning session. Change FB Timeline Photo - I suggest changing your timeline photo every week or two if it makes sense for you. This is the banner photo at the top of your profile. It’s an extra thing you can do to get in front of more people and you can customize it to what’s going on in your life or what you’ll be talking about over the next week with your posts. Post Review / Wall Cleanup - Look through your posts for the week. Are there things that just totally flopped that you could delete? Make a mental note of what worked and didn’t work this week, so you can try to improve upon it and learn from it.
Ninja Tip: If before & after photos are part of your strategy, consider hiding old ones from your wall. This will keep your overall timeline from looking spammy as you add a new photo each week. Time Block Calendar for the Week - Schedule blocks of time into your calendar for work and family. This is explained more below. ERRANDS - Jot down any errands you need to run this week and then get them onto your calendar. MUST-DO - Jot down a list of things that absolutely NEED to get done this week and get those into your calendar. TOP 3 GOALS - What are your 3 biggest business goals for the week? TOP PROJECT - Choose just one project you’re working on. When your daily checklist is complete, if you have extra time to work, this is what you will focus on. An example would be if you are wanting to expand to another social media. Do not forfeit your daily income building activities to work on your project. You need to keep chopping at the same tree every day to get the results you want. The only exception is if you have a good following built up already (and then you can spend less time actively finding new friends). BOOKS/VIDS - What are you reading, listening to, or watching for personal development this week? I recommend at least 10-30 minutes a day (preferably in the morning) learning something to improve yourself. Adding this to my routine © Misty Dorman’s S.M.A.R.T. P.L.A.N. http://www.mistydorman.com

Having an
PRIMARY CALENDAR - This can be a digital &/or paper calendar. Use what works best for you, that you will actually USE. Here’s what I suggest: Schedule out blocks of time to work around your other meetings and obligations. If you’re actively trying to grow your business, I recommend blocking AT LEAST two hours a day. This can be a solid block of time or split throughout the day. If you’re shooting for 6 figures, you’ll need to dedicate more time. The idea here is to have specific blocks of time where you will work as distraction-free as possible. If you find you’re prone to getting distracted into checking FaceBook messages and notifications every time they pop up, give this a try: schedule 2-3 time blocks where you spend 15-30 minutes checking messages, notifications, & process emails. Turn off your notifications on your phone and web browser and DO NOT respond to messages at other times of the day. It may be hard not constantly checking your phone, but just think of how much you’ll get done if you’re not being constantly hit with notifications while you’re trying to work. Most likely none of these messages are an emergency and even then, a lack of planning on someone else’s part does not constitute an emergency on yours. Set the expectation with your team that you are not going to be constantly at their beck and call. Encourage them to plan their time this way too. Most really successful entrepreneurs don’t spend all day looking at messages. They are focused on getting stuff done. ROUTINES LIST The goal isn’t to clutter up your main calendar and make yourself feel overwhelmed. The items on this list should go onto a task list and/or a second digital calendar in a different color that you can hide as needed. You want some white space on your calendar. (Google lets you have multiple calendars and you can show and hide them as you please. I use that as well as a tasks app that acts as a daily checklist so I don’t forget things.) Eventually, they’ll just be habits that you’ll remember to do at certain times or on certain days of the week.
DAILY WORK ROUTINES CHECKLIST I have started this checklist on Monday, assuming most people will do a Sunday weekly prep. Use your work time blocks that you scheduled on your calendar to work through the Daily Work Routines checklist. Too often when we are able to © Misty Dorman’s S.M.A.R.T. get in some work time, we have so much we want to accomplish that we don’t know where to start or we focus on the thing that is screaming the loudest for our attention. Use this checklist as a guide for how to spend your time. Whenever you get time to work, start with the checklist. Complete it BEFORE you move on to additional projects. The idea is to be consistently talking to new people before you move forward with adding in other social media platforms or working on a blog, lead magnet, etc. Getting these basics down will make you more duplicatable for your team as well. You’ll find more strategies for HOW to do the items in the checklist in my Home Biz Kick-in-the-Pants Workshop.
Ninja Tip: Too busy or overwhelmed to get through the WHOLE list every day? That’s OK! The important part is to get started and to be consistent doing at least SOME type of income building activity EVERY DAY. If you don’t have enough time for the entire list, focus on trying to accomplish the white rows first. If you have time for more, move onto the grayed out rows. Some of the tasks don’t need to be done daily. Notate in some way which day of the week you plan to do them. (I like to highlight the cells.) If Friday is your follow-up day, do those tasks on Friday. The list may look a bit long, but many of the tasks only take 5-15 minutes. On some tasks, I have suggested a number of people to contact. If you prefer to work in short time blocks, write an amount of time in the cell for each day, set a timer, and just plow through the task until the timer goes off. Make the checklist suit how you work. Whatever you do, just get it done...EVERY DAY…no excuses. One hour twice a day can change the trajectory of your business! If you do these tasks, you will have a constant stream of new eyeballs looking at your FaceBook wall AND value on your wall to intrigue them.
TRACKERS The trackers at the end are to help you track how many prospects you are exposing to your product or business opportunity each month and capture your conversion rate. These are pretty self explanatory. Fill out the month at the top and do the math on your conversion rate at the end of the month. As you start to track this, you will start to be able to work backwards from your goals and know © Misty Dorman’s S.M.A.R.T. P.L.A.N. http://www.mistydorman.com

how many people you need to share with in order to hit your targets. Then you can adjust your daily checklist to talk to more people if you have a big goal one month or just want to grow faster.
Let’s do the dang thing! It’s time to print the next few pages and go make it happen. Commit to these activities every single day and watch your business explode! If you want to see results, you have to implement. Realize you are planting seeds with this strategy. You have to marry the process & divorce the results. Even when you think no one’s watching, THEY ARE! Just keep going. Print page 8 each week if you are the planning type. Print page 9 each week if you are doing a hard push for your business such as a launch or a 90-day run. It’s going to challenge you to do more. Print page 10 each week for ongoing tasks. If you need more training on HOW to do social marketing and the concepts in this guide, make sure to check out my 5-day Home Biz Kick-in-the-Pants Workshop.
